Who will go?

"After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites.  I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you"  Joshua 1  1-5

Just because Moses had died it did not stop Gods plans to be fulfilled or his promises, every plan God has every promise he has made will not be stopped until accomplished.

The LORD had chosen Joshua Moses's helper, after Moses's death to lead his people across the Jordan river to a land that the LORD was going to give to them, you see that God immediately after told Joshua to lead his people, he did not ask Joshua too or if he wanted to He gave a command.

The LORD also said "get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them"
dont you think that there was other routes to surpass the Jordan river? or go around it?
but He clearly said "cross" many are the times that we have tried to go our own way about
trying to solve our problems or the easy way, many times we have tried not to confront our problems but try to go around them, but God will only give us the victory if we obey his voice and fight these problems face to face, get ready!

Only after they would cross the jordan river then the LORD had promised to give the people the land, and Joshua every place were he set foot!
Now if you put in comparison what the LORD commanded Joshua to do and what God would give him in return it is nothing!

God had already granted Joshua his victory over everyone who would try to stand against him, not only for a day or week, or year but for ALL the days of his life how great is that?
God Honors those who obey Him and what greater honor than to know that He is with us.

God will always have much more to give us than what we give to him, what He wants to see is our obedience and our readiness!
