Have you ever been in a conversation on the phone then suddenly your put on hold? or the times that you have to wait in the doctors clinic anxiously waiting your turn, or when you call someone and the elevator music comes up and you wait and wait until someone attends you.....

Keeping that in mind how many are the times that we are too busy running around all day working, cleaning doing all the stuff we need to do everyday that we forget or say that we don't have time, how many are the times that God calls us to read his word, or make a prayer, or talk to someone who is in need of help. Yet we put God on hold for something that could wait and is not of much importance. For example watching that favorite show you always watch or spending too much time on the computer things that you know could wait. Sacrifice

This is one of the things that we should analyze daily because maybe you have been too busy to notice it. We should always have a time for God, a time where it is only you and Him even if it means you have to miss your favorite show or an hour of sleep. Many are the times that we expect God to do many things for us but have you stopped to think what He wants from you? if it is to leave your past, the anger in your heart, a life of sin.. etc. God does not want to only be in your life or heart but He wants to be the First in your life and heart.Your relationship with Him should be the first and most important before any other. So think in this moment, if you have let all the distractions this world brings, grow you far from your creator decide today to answer Him just as you would wait for someone to answer you on the other end maybe you have left Him waiting the question is what are you waiting for?

Rise.

Wake up and rise, be wise

do not let your fears uprise 

look ahead, do not follow where you have left and even though the sun has set do not look down, do not forget...

I know you have many insecurities 

that stop you from seeing all the possibilities 

eventhough it may seem like hope is gone

and everything is going wrong

You have the ability to turn it all around 

you may hit the ground,

but throughout it all you will gain strength to stand

This week I was very vigilant about what I saw and thought, because consequently what i saw i would then think of  whether good or bad, so every time a negative or bad thought would come I would not accept it and I searched to see the way Jesus would see, This challenge really opened my eyes to see the other side of things.

Godllywood challenge#2

For my second Godllywood challenge I decided to bake something for my family since it has been something i haven't done in a long time, I baked a banana bread :)

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup butter

• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
3. Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

I slowly turned away from the dimmed light 

that was blurred by the heavy clouds, & thought I must fight.

the cold wind brushed through my face as my heart started to race.

When you stop and think before you act, you will see that you will have taken the right decision, a decision not based on your emotions or feelings but a decision based on an intelligent faith that will give you great results. Even though thoughts may come to your head to accuse you of what you did, or said you must resist these thoughts and determine that that was part of your past, which means you will no longer commit the same mistakes that led you into this dark pit and grew you apart from your creator: God. So believe have Hope in yourself, do not give up on your self because God He will never give up on you!

-write down a list of all the things that you know have been in the middle of you and God and fight to take them away.

I’m doing the #GODLLYWOODCHALLENGE

I will be posting in my blog all of the Godllywood challenges that I am going to be doing, I had already been doing them but, I for some reason or another got distracted and stopped. This goes to show that we always have to keep our eyes on our goals, although no one is there to push us to do something we have to take charge and push ourselves. So i'm deciding to start fresh! and going to till the end! :)

The abyss cont...

"The light dimmed down
the wind shifted through the clouds
with no sign, it disappeared without a sound. I fell to the ground and shook with fear holding my breath i let out a single tear. It rolled down my cheek as i watched it sink. & cried out hoping someone would be near. the breeze chased the leaves, and the birds flew onto the horizon,
The cold day left me with no strength to fight on. The night fell anxious to tell the glowing moon Its reason for leaving so soon .........." As i laid on the cold dirt 
I started to think and reflect on everything I had done and what I 
could do to turn my life around..

It all starts in YOU, you must take action in the midst of 
your affliction or agony an action that will be based on an intelligent faith,
you must be careful not to be taken over by your emotions because they will try to take advantage of you in your moment of weakness, and later on you will regret something 
you said or did because of them. In this moment do not try to find who to blame or who was a victim in the situation, present your cause to God with humbleness and ask for forgiveness, for many the hard times makes them give up, however this hard time should tell you that it is just the beginning of a new life, so while you are at the bottom of that abyss before you do anything STOP AND THINK.

The abyss

I fell in a dark pit wondering how I got into it, my hands where dirty and full of mud and I thought, " surely someone must have laid me in here."
 I felt tired as if I was working for weeks, months or even years. My strength was drained I screamed out to see if anyone would hear me yet no one came.

At times you may find your self in a tough situation in this dark pit, and you wonder how you ended up in it.To get out of this pit you must recognize what you did wrong, the wrong choices you made, and decide to leave them for good. You must humble yourself before God with an honest and sincere heart. Otherwise you will continue in this situation until you recognize that you where the one who was digging yourself into this pit, by doing what does not please God and doing everything that keeps you away from Him. As you do all those things you dig, and  dig, and, dig, and keep on digging, deeper and deeper then you realize that you are all alone, and it seems to you like it is the end. In times like this giving up cannot be an option. It all starts in YOU..............

A thought.

It all started with a thought, someone told you you were not good enough, you were not pretty enough, you wouldn't make it, and thoughts came rushing into your mind telling you, " they are right your not capable, you don't have the perfect image, its better not to try" and you accepted these thoughts. Because you accepted the thoughts in you it reflected on the way you acted in your exterior you were now insecure and you held yourself back. It is surprising to me how much thoughts can influence the result of your life, there are negative thoughts like the ones I listed above and many more , but there is also positive thoughts which are the voice of God this voice will always give you words that will lift you up. 


Look at this situation, many shy people are shy because they say, " what if?, what are they gonna think of me? , I'm not able, Im gonna make a fool of myself " because they listen to the negative thoughts they act that certain way but those who are not do not waste their time listening to the negative thoughts they don't accept them they say , " no, I'm gonna go , I'm gonna do this , I can do this, I don't care what they are going to think of me... etc. " your life is the result of which voice you have been listening to which thought you have been accepting.  Sometimes it is hard to listen to the voice of God because all of the negative thoughts that have came to you have been flooding your mind as if your spiritual ears have been stuffed with so many negativity you have been allowing in, that those thoughts have been louder. But you can change that today! empty your mind of everything that has been putting you down act against these negative thoughts; a word that was said to you or a rude comment, or maybe something you saw that lead to a bad thought and start accepting the positive thoughts that will lead you to have a positive behavior. You will have to step out of your comfort zone , and do things you were not used to and thats great! You will see you will start to develop characteristics and a talent you never even knew you had! 


Which thoughts have you given power to?  

Who?

We do many things throughout our day such as clean, baby sit, cook, work, in the end all of the chores needed. But who do we do it for? do we do it for ourselves? for your boss? your parents? friends? Sometimes what we do is not good enough for them we do so much and sometimes while we do it were thinking, " yup, this is it they are going to be so proud of me!" and we even think they are going to give us a prize or a gift for what we do.

Many times it seems like our hard work is not valued why? because we have been doing it for people, we expect many things out of them, and expect something in return. And then there comes those days when you know someone could be helping you but they are not, I can give an example I remember a day when my sister and I had to fold a huge pile of clothes so there I was facing a mountain you can say lol, and i started folding them and I did not want to, I was already doing it with a bad humor and I kept asking , " are you going to help me? come on , "

Until I realized that everything I did was needed to do for God then I did not even care if someone was helping me or not and they ended up helping anyways. Maybe you ask "I can cook for God? clean? Baby sit? " yes, yes you can :) If we do everything we do for God we will do it with all of our strength, mind, and heart just knowing its for Him will be enough. Next time you do something do it for Him and you will see that you will even do it with pleasure and you will also be giving a good testimony every where you go in what ever you do.

" So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
1 Corinthians 10:31

Including YOU!

                                                                                                                                                                       

There are many things that can hold us back from having a true relationship with God. One of these things includes your past. Your past can be a barrier if you do not let it go of it, you will become a slave to it, to the same mistakes same errors, and you will be trapped in a cycle, it will keep you from moving onto new things sometimes even forgiving. There are people who can't seem to forgive because of the pain the person caused them but holding grudges against others is not worth what God wants to provide and you will only be hurting yourself. Letting go of your old self your past is one of the first things we must do to have a relationship with God, the one who makes everything new;

"And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful." Revelation 21:5 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17

We see that it is possible you can become a new person with a new character, behavior a new life governed by Him, now it is up to you do not accept your past any longer; your old ways. God wants to make you all over again but you have to act first. Knowing that theres a way out do not stay stranded get up and fight, even if you end up fighting yourself, your desires your wants.Now If there is someone that does not want you to become new it is the devil, he will put negative thoughts, use people, try to unmotivated you. Resist these thoughts if you resist he will flee wake up that courageous person in you, & yes there is a courageous person in you, I know in you there is a desire to change. Now grab onto this promise and Him the scripture says it clearly " ... If anyone is in Christ...". In Christ, obeying his word, his voice, doing what He wants not what you want, sacrifice. So lift your head and roll up those sleeves!

GOD MAKES ALL THINGS NEW, INCLUDING YOU!

Stand up.

There is a point in your life when enough is enough, a point where you have to stand up and put the strength you have inside of you out of you. We all go through problems it is something we cannot avoid, but there are some who accept the problems, they are passive about it and live life saying, " thats life, what am i supposed to do?" and then there are others who do not accept the problems but they fight against them.Whether they are spiritual, or physical We all have the strength to overcome these problems its just that not everyone uses or realizes the strength that lies within them. You may sometimes think that you are not able but YOU ARE ;

Philippians 4:13

"For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength"

Keep in mind that we cannot do it alone, we need Christ, 

Gods help, for He is the provider,He is the one who will

 give you strength and the Only one who can give it to you. so do not accept the problem 

if you do its as if you are okay with the problems in your life and consequently 

these problems will grow even bigger ,

if you do not USE the strength God has given you.

The times.

The times you fell hard,the times 

you cried yourself to sleep at night

the times when nothing seemed alright.

& you wished for the day to end

you felt so ashamed...

The times when you felt like you didn't matter

& your insides screamed 

though it seemed as nobody heard, your eyes 

said it even louder. 

The times when you tried to hide it with a smile 

but you & I know your pain went on for miles 

The times your heart felt empty so you tried to fill 

it up with useless things , you felt disappointed 

and said this is pointless, I'm feeling hopeless 

The times you said thats it 

are the times when God said, "Don't you quit"

Breaking Through

 It is through the dark that we are able

to see the light shine more than ever.

I was looking at the way the sun's light shone through the dark clouds and thought, this is how we must be in front of the adversity we face throughout our lives. Sometimes the dark clouds come; the problems, insecurities, doubts, etc. But if we are Light and put our trust in God, then we will be able to overcome these problems and become stronger, God is the only one who can give us this Light, we must walk with him for He is Light. There is no way a Light could be hidden, it is through the dark that we are able to see the light shine more than ever. Through tribulations, persecutions, through the darkest hour of our lives it is then that we will shine and break through.

 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Eyes on the Prize.

Everyone has distinct goals, things they want to accomplish in life. Within these goals there will always be obstacles almost as if trying to keep us away from what we want & you may ask why. Everything we want in life will not be given to us we must conquer it, there is a price we have to pay in order for us to achieve and take possession of these goals. It all depends on how much we want it and what we are willing to go through to get it.

"We must keep our eyes on Him
and He will also keep his eyes on us"

Now lets apply this to our lives with God our spiritual goals, and put our salvation as our goal we have to reach; maintaining a relationship with Him,  living a life of obedience to His word, and putting His will over ours.


We can receive our salvation by Faith but we have to keep our salvation, of course it will not be easy because everything we have to do in order to keep our salvation will go against our desires, our wants, our flesh but it is a price we have to pay.
By us living against this world's customs and doings will provoke people, friends and family specially, to throw words of doubt like, "your wasting your life, you need to have fun your young." and to the single saying, "Your gonna end up being a nun" or they may even laugh at your face. My own mother told me I was going to be a nun, but I know what I am fighting for, I trust in God I know that there is a time and day and He will direct me. 
I used those words as fuel to keep me going and kept my eyes on God, a prize worth hearing any word or confronting any situation, so be sure that there will be many obstacles, barriers  and temptations but we must keep our eyes on Him and He will also keep His eyes on us.  
How much do you want it?


 Chronicles 16:9: "For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth
to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him."


Keeping your eyes on Him- not listening to negative comments, only to His words, 
trusting Him through  the thick and thin, not caring what others have to say about your faith....
